The desire to know God from Saint Augustinus´ Confessions, book 10

Lord, you know me fully. May I know you, like you know me. May I know you as I am known

You are the power of my soul. Enter in it and make her to your own home, without spot or wrinkle.
That is my hope and therefore do I speak. And that hope is my real joy.

As to the other pleasures in this life, we regret the most what we not should regret, and the least what we really should regret.

See, you love the truth and he who does the truth comes to the light. This I like to do by my confession to you in my heart and in my book before many witnesses.
