Catechesis is the “education in the faith of children, young people and adults which includes especially the teaching of Christian doctrine imparted, generally speaking, in an organic and systematic way, with a view to initiating the hearers into the fullness of Christian life” (Catechism of the Catholic Church). We offer two forms of catechesis. The first is traditional catechesis based on lectures by our student chaplain, Father Jellema, or on the official catechism, which is either the Cathechism of the Catholic Church (CCC), the YouCat, or the Compendium of the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCCC). The second form is based on Bishop R. Barron’s renowned catechesis series Catholicism, and consists of watching an episode of the series, followed by a round-table discussion. “Catholicism” evenings take place every 4th Wednesday of the month.
